This mostly-turf front yard was re-designed with sustainability, water usage, and cost in mind. A bioswale created a focal point in the sloping garden, while also serving the purpose of remediating and retaining rain water on site. The addition of trees framed views to the house and created a calming feeling of symmetry in the space.  A water feature was also added to the front yard as a way to mark the entrance to the house in a meaningful way, as it also served as the starting point for the bioswale.
